Camp Anokijig Knighthood Campership Fund Announces Racine Area Essay Contest for Week of Summer Camp
The Camp Anokijig Knighthood Scholarship Fund is proud to announce an essay contest to send Racine area students to a week of summer camp on full scholarships! Essay questions are themed around Anokijig’s Knighthood program, which promotes and honors service to self, service to others, and building values and strong morals. 10 essays will be chosen, and the writers will be awarded a full week of summer camp at Camp Anokijig! Contest winners will be able to attend Camp in 2018, either June 17-23 or July 1-7. Weeks will be awarded based on availability.
Students ages 7-14 may send submissions by May 4th, 2018 to be considered.
The essay questions are the following:
Ages 7-8 – Draw a picture of a time you helped someone else. Describe your picture, and tell us why you helped them.
Ages 9-11 – Describe a time you helped someone else. Why did you help them, and how did it make you feel? Optional: Draw a picture showing how you helped them.
Ages 12-14 – What does “Service to Others” mean to you? Describe a time you helped someone else.
Email essay submissions to email@example.com or mail hardcopies to Camp Anokijig, Attn: Knighthood Essay Contest, W5639 Anokijig Lane, Plymouth, WI 53073. Please include student's name, grade starting next year, sex, a Parent/Guardian's name, and contact information.
