Women in the Outdoors – A Weekend to Remember
 
Plymouth, WI—Are you looking for the best Mother’s Day gift ever? How about a chance to bond with your daughter before she leaves for college? Interested in coordinating a “Girl’s Weekend” activity? This is the place to be! Women in the Outdoors (WITO) is a great opportunity to enjoy a fun and relaxing environment while meeting new women and learning different skills. Looking to be challenged on a different level? 
Ever want to pull back a bow and arrow…just once?  How about learn the proper way to paddle a kayak or angle for a trophy fish?  Interested in learning about hiking the Ice Age Trail or how to fly fish?  Would you like to learn how to hunt but don’t know where to start?  Does shooting a clay target or pistols trip your trigger?  Or how about learning how to call that Ole’ Tom turkey or how to tail mount a turkey after a harvest?  Interested in sausage making or Dutch Oven cooking? Or maybe some chill time is needed with fun crafts, belly dancing or Yoga?  Not challenging enough?  Then horseback riding, watercraft games, adventure challenges or a trip to the island in the voyager canoe may be the right class for you.
The Wisconsin State National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is hosting its 19th Annual 3-day Women in the Outdoors event on August 26-28, 2016 at Camp Anokijig in Plymouth, Wisconsin. The cost of the event is $185 for a three-day, two-night stay—registration includes lodging in clean bunk-style cabins with showers, five meals and all instruction and materials for three classes of your choice.
In addition to learning, evenings can be spent stargazing, laser shooting or socializing around the campfire.  We offer many activities to keep participants busy or they may choose to just have some down time.  The weekend also includes some shopping via fundraising, silent auction items, raffles and a live auction!
Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis! Early registration is encouraged and is due by August 8, 2016. A partial class list includes 3D Archery, Adventure Challenges, Biking, Boating, Crossbows, Geo-caching, Horseback Riding, Learn to Hunt, Sausage Making, Angling, Fly Fishing, Handguns, Outdoor Crafts, Hiking, Trap Shooting, Turkey Hunting, Voyager Canoe, Ropes, Watercraft Games, Belly Dancing, and Yoga!
